McKinley Park Poets
featuring Andy Anderson, Robin Aurelius, Mary McGrath
and Michele Beyer
Monday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 PM
1719 25th Street at Sacramento Poetry Center
Host: Rebecca Morrison
Robin Aurelius: Love Boat entertainer with Mary, tongue in cheek, crack-up humor, hoarder but has every imaginable tool as a great neighbor, cleans everyone’s street gutter.
Mary McGrath: Story teller, most interesting gig and audience was a family concert with the Sacramento Symphony (one of the last they performed, you’re your own conclusion). Bird watcher, just discovered four heron nests within sight of a big building downtown, would like a wild garden full of resident singing birds, proudest moment was helping stop the fake-gun fight in Old Town at the Gold Rush Days.
Andy Anderson: Thousands of irreverent poems, a few pass Trader Joe’s sweet mustard, life devoted to Indian health care, Europhile, particularly Italy, loves the bike trail, Peace Corps Chile.
Michele Beyer: Michele received a BA in English from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s in Creative Writing from University of the Pacific. She served as an editor for Nameless Magazine in Davis, and is a member of the Ohana Hula Dance Group.
